We are proactively creating a technology-oriented agenda based on the hypothesis that a Technology Developing Turkey vision is possible through a rich technology development ecosystem. Our aim is to bring together different players and specialties to reveal actual technological needs, and to contribute to the creation of the necessary infrastructure through activities organized within the framework of different themes. We prepare and present our publications, which include analyses, research papers  and reports, with the contributions of our qualified and valuable stakeholders.

The TTGV Awards

It was decided to organize the TTGV Awards in 2023 in the field of Climate change technologies, which is the new focus of TTGV, with four existing award categories, to encourage technology professionals that complement our mission to strengthen the international competitiveness of the private sector in Turkey through technology.

TTGV Awards, which will be given to individuals and organizations that are honored with their names as a reference to the changes pioneered by those who have made a significant contribution to TTGV and that are the pioneers of change in 4 different categories related to our focus areas, will this year be a researcher, organization that has pioneered change in the field of climate technologies in the last five years. Will be awarded in four existing award categories: civil society and leading person.

  • Dr. Akın Çakmakcı Leading Researcher Awards: This is the award given to the owners of pioneering academic research that has been transformed into commercial application in our focus areas.
  • Dr. Fikret Yücel Leading Organization Awards: This award is given to organizations implementing pioneering change in our focus areas.
  • Mehmet Şuhubi Öncü Civil Initiative Awards: This award is given to civil society initiatives that carry out pioneering work in our focus areas.
  • Refik Üreyen Change Leadership Awards: This is the award given to people who have led change in their organizations in our focus areas.

At the end of the evaluations to be made by TTGV in terms of their compliance with the criteria determined in the award categories related to nomination, the Award Certificate and Award Statue will be presented to the winners in each category at the award ceremony at the TTGV event to be held throughout the year.

Technology Ambassadors

It is aimed to increase network and cooperation in the focus areas of TTGV with people who are experts in their fields, have networking competencies, and have recognized communication skills and expertise. In 2023, we will continue to work with our focus on 'Climate Technologies.'

Donations and Sponsorships

In the TTGV Articles of Foundation defining its abilities and activities, it is stated that TTGV may accept donations to support its predefined activities.

Income Tax Law No. 193 allows entities that are considered taxpayers based on their commercial activities to donate up to 5 percent of their annual income to public benefit foundations, which are exempt from tax, and to deduct such donations from their tax assessments. For those who make donations from their private wealth, no upper limit is applied. Pursuant to Article 89 of Income Tax Law No. 193, donations of up to 5 percent of the annual income of individuals, and pursuant to Article 10 of the Corporate Tax Law, donations of up to 5 percent of annual income of corporations can be deducted.

Regarding the activities to be carried out on the basis of donations received, our main objectives are to observe TTGV’s mission and objectives, to develop product governance models that satisfy the expectations and requirements of the donor institutions and organizations, particularly in relation to visibility, and to provide advanced financial models and products that donors are unable to finance on their own.

Through the crowdfunding platform, the design and development works of which were initiated in 2015, it will be possible to provide support for research activities conducted in the common interest of society, to a limited extent. The platform has been designed as part of an model integrated with Kıvılcım, ideaport and technology commercialization activities, with the objective being to position TTGV close to the ideas, markets and financial opportunities that play a key role in the development and implementation of high value added and creative services in the value chain.
