
Deputy Undersecretary
Undersecretariat of the Prime Ministry for Foreign Trade
Ziya Altunyaldiz was born in Konya in 1965. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1987. He took his masters degree from West Coast University, LA, California (USA) on international management in 1995. Later, he joined to a post graduate programme on International Coparative Commerce Law at London Mertopolitan University in 2002. He has various publications and made speeches at different international seminars on exports, EU, clusters, competitiveness, etc.
He started his professional life at State Planning Organisation as an assistant specialist in 1991. On December 1991, he joined to the Undersecretariat of the Prime Ministry for Foreign Trade as a specialist. After working as a Department Manager at UFT, he became the Commercial Counsellor of Turkish Embassy in London during 1999 - 2002. Starting from 2003, he came back to Turkey and took responsibility as the State Aid Department Manager at UFT. Taking responsibility as a Deputy Director General and Director General at the General Directorate of Exports, in 2009 he became the Deputy Undersecretary of UFT. On 11 November 2010, he is appointed as Undersecretariat of Customs.
Mr. Altunyaldiz is married with two children.
