After having graduated from the METU Mechanical Engineering Department in 1974, Mr. Güçlü began to work at Otosan Inc.. After completing a variety of vehicle and engine development projects in his different work positions, he came to be the Branch Manager of Mamül Engineering in 1982. He has served as the Deputy Director General (Technical) and the Deputy Director General (Product Development) since 1991. He contiuned his career as the General Manager of RMK Marine.
Along with these, Mr. Güçlü is a member of the TTGV Board of Directors, a Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at ITU Automotive Technology Platform and serves as a head consultant to the Science and Technological Research Council of Turkey-Marmara Research Centre (TUBITAK-MAM).
Mr. Güçlü is married and is the father of two children.
