A. Mete ÇAKMAKCI, Ph.D.

Secretary General

He began to work at TTGV in October, 2003 in the position of Coordinator of Technology Policies and International Relations.  Mr. Çakmakcı, who worked as the Assistant General Secretary from June 2005 to April 2009, has held the position of Secretary General since May 1st, 2009. 

 He graduated in 1986 from Ankara Ataturk Anatolia High School and in 1990 from METU with a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.  Later on he obtained his M.S. and his Ph.D., in 1993 and 1998 respectively, on the subject of Electrical and Computer engineering from Syracuse University in the USA. Between the years of 1990 and 1998 while at Syracuse University (Syracuse, NY, USA) he served as a Teachers Assistant, a Research Assistant for the company ALCAN and a Lecturer and in the same city, in the state of New York, he worked at a the Center for Advanced Systems and Engineering.  He began to work in Ankara as an engineer at Defense Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc. (STM) in 1999.  He worked at the same firm as the Business Development Manager from 2000 until his departure from the company in September, 2003.

 

Yücel TELÇEKEN

Technology Development Projects Coordinator

He began to work at TTGV in November 1999 as an Expert in the Technology Groups Directorate.  In 2002 he was appointed to the position of Marketing Group Assistant Coordinator.  Mr. TelÇeken, who served as the Technology Development Projects Assistant Coordinator from September 2005 to January 2007, became the Technology Development Projects Coordinator in February 2007, a position which he holds to this day. 

 He was born in 1968 in Ankara. He graduated in 1994 from Middle East Technical University with a Master’s Degree from the Mining Engineering Department.  He began his professional life in 1994 as an Operation Manager at Akana Foreign Trade Inc.
