Aselsan
He received his BSc and MSc degrees from Electrical Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University. During his research assistantship in METU, he started to work in Aselsan.
In 1976, during the establishment of Aselsan, he contributed to construction of the infrastructure for mass production and testing of Aselsan’s radio product. After that he took part in many of the Aselsan’s technological investments and organizational activities, especially in the establishment of R&D Department. From being design engineer to project manager, he worked at every task in the R&D Department. In 1980, he was appointed as chief engineer and in 1982 he became Manager of Control Systems.
After the establishment of Aselsan’s Microwave and System Technologies (MST) Group in 1990, he was appointed as Director of Automation Projects. He took responsibilities in many of the national and international projects, such as, APGM, SHORADS/VSHORADS.
In 2000, due to organizational changes and restructuring of the fields of activity, he became the Director of Defense Programs. Between 2003 and 2008, he represented Aselsan in the Board of Directors of Roketsan.
In 2006, he was appointed as Head of MST Group. After 2 years, he became the Head of Defense System Technologies Group.
He is currently working in Aselsan as the Assistant General Manager. Mr. Akcayoz is married with two children.
