Purpose
The elementary goal of Environmental Technologies Support Programme is to support implementation projects for cleaner production technology applications which are applicable and economically valuable. This goal is included as part of the concept of eco-efficiency (cleaner production) that during production processes the minimum amount of consumption of energy, water, and raw material and the minimum amount of waste production.
Possible Project Subjects
- Minimization in sources of waste / production rotation (waste recycling and recovery)
- Water consumption / minimization of wastewater generation at its source
- Minimization of emissions at their source (ex: optimization of combustion process)
- Minimization of raw material consumption
- Transferring to the use of non-hazardous or less-hazardous chemical substances
- Oil consumption / reduction of waste oil formation
- Environmentally friendly technologies in the use and production of energy
- Production of new product / fuel / energy from waste (Primarily: Organic wastes-bioproducts)
- Production of environmentally friendly products
- Industrial ecology (symbiosis) (Example: two firms that are located close to one another can sue each other's waste / waste heat.)
- Carbon capture and storage systems
Priorities
- Use of local technology and equipment
- Applications of innovative and/or advanced technology (materials, electronics, software, etc.)
