Ahmet Bayraktar was born in 1955 in Kayseri as the son of a family that made spare automotive parts. He completed gradute school in the United States of America in the field of Industrial Engineering Technology and then in 1979 he retruend to Turkey, at which time he worked at his family’s company in a variety of positions. He played an important role in the establisment and development of Farba, the first manufacturers of far and stop lamps in Turkey. After many years of having taken the position of manager at TAYSAD, which aims to bring the development and solution of the automotive sector to a generable level, he served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors between1997-2002. During this period of time he provided significant contributions to the establishment and development of the TAYSAD Organized Industrial Zone.
Currently he is the Vice President of the Board of Directors of TAYSAD as well as the Chairman of the Board of the Automotive and Automotive Supply Industry at TOBB, the Head of the Automotive and Automotive Supply Industry Professions Committee at the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO), a member of the Board of Directors at TTGV, a member and member of the board of entrepreneurs at TOSB continues his work at Bayraktarlar Holding.
